DeLaney Law Offices, Ltd. has two Certified Elder Law Attorneys (CELAs) as members of its firm.  Currently, our firm is the only Illinois law firm with two CELAs, and there are only seven CELAs in the entire State of Illinois. 

The distinctive title of a CELA evidences an expansive knowledge of Elder Law.  This title is earned through a multi-faceted process.  First, recommendations from other elder law attorneys across the nation must be provided to the National Elder Law Foundation, nominating a particular attorney.  The attorney must be committed to the practice of elder law and have appreciable experience handling a large number of cases over a significant period of time.  Once this is established, the attorney must successfully pass a comprehensive certification exam to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Elder Law.
